How do you see yourself making decisions about your own career path? Do you see yourself following the career of your mentor? Why or why not?
The decisions i have been thinking about for my career was to go into teaching. the experience i had from my internship was good i loved helping the kids with there work and doing some of the lessons but when they all left and we had to go meeting about the budget cut and talk about all the jobs that the teachers will lose cause of he budget cuts thats California and this really made me think that this situations is not getting any better any time soon. if this situation does it get better in the future then there is no point of me being a teacher if no one will be hiring any teachers then they wont want to hire any new teachers right out college. If it wasn't cause of the situation i would like to go into teaching.
How do you feel about returning back to classes next week? Do you anticipate a different experience of school now that you have been immersed in a work place? What are you looking forward to about coming back? What are you going to miss about internship?
I feel weird going back to school being at my internship for so long the thought of going back is just unbelievable, also i would feel sad but happy going back because i gotten along with all the kids and my mentor that i don't want to leave them but also happy because i will see all my friends and be able share my experience with my peers. Coming back to school i am going to have a different view of the teachers work because of the experience at internship showed me that there is more than just teaching the students there is a lot of preping for the lessons. what i am looking for coming back to schol is to share my experience with the rest of my peers. what i am going to miss from internship is the ids and the environment of the class not being there to help or make my mentors life a little less complicated in the class room. also i am going to miss lunch time with the other staff member and listening to there conversation and see how much they talk about there class and other issues they migh going through in there class room or there job in general.
